FRIDAY'S empty lunchbox

Yes I am not working today, so no walk to the office this morning. Lunchbox was washed, dried and put away in the kitchen cupboard until Monday.




Activity: I decided to go for a run.... not too far, just around my local park Llandaff Fields _ had my i-Pod as well.

Some great dogs were running around the park as well.

I then went shopping in Tescos and bought some provisions for the lunchbox next week.

Along with 2 tins of salmon and some ham, I bought six Muller light yoghurts. The highlight was when I got to the checkout and the lady said, "Don't you know Sir you get six free for buying these six?"

So I rushed back to the yoghurt aisle and got six more... and let me tell you trying to carry that many yoghurts in your hands is quite tricky.


LUNCH.

The location: my parent's house in Cardiff.

My mother russled up a very nice poached egg on two rounds of white toast.


Random Thought: To alleviate drug cheating in the Olympics, why not allow competitors to take whatever drugs they want.

BREAKFAST: Was in the gym at 6.44am this morning.... first time in a month. Returned to have a swell bowl of Cornflakes with semi-skimmed milk. THE WALK to WORK THE rain and wind tested by umbrella handing skills to the limit this morning. Down the Taff Trail and the home of Glamorgan County Cricket Club, Sophia Gardens, was looking particularly sad this morning. May 31st lunchbox

A podcast on the Welsh Forgetter of the Year. TO HEAR THE BARDS in ACTION CLICK HERE, DIOLCH! BREAKFAST: Very good bowl of Branflakes THE WALK to WORK. SUN was radiating as I ambled down what was a POSTCARDESQUE River Taff Trail this morning. Was i-Podless so had the full symphony of bird song, interspersed with the chimes of the Clock Tower of Cardiff Castle. THE LUNCHBOX 4 salmon sandwiches(tinned variety)with a hint of lemon juice. 1 plum 1 banana 1 Toffee flavoured Muller Light Yoghurt. 2 Chocolate digestive biscuits. TRUST ME MY WIFE IS A MAGISTRATE. Biscuits went early, followed by the fruit then the sandwiches just before midday. Saving the yoghurt until later RANDOM THOUGHT 2021: THE opening of the first TESCO UNIVERSITY, where students are schooled in Tescology, is delayed after members of the ANTI-TESCO league chain themselves to supermarket trollies in the offices of the Vice-Chancellor, located at the end of the Frozen Food aisle of the new campus

May 23rd lunchbox

BREAKFAST: Marvellous bowl of Cornflakes with cold semi-skimmed milk. The Walk to Work. Sun was really trying to break through (fair play), but even with clear blue skies there was the odd drop of rain... well that's the UK for you! Down the Taff Trial into the centre of Cardiff and it was cyclist mania this morning. And at last more on the wildlife front, noted two fierce looking ravens foraging for food on the river bank, as well as quite a few chilled out ducks on the River Taff below. The immaculate groomed white Husky passed me with his owner. LUNCHBOX... 1 banana 1 plum 4 chicken sandwiches on granary bread 1 toffee flavoured Muller Light Yoghurt 1 slice of coconut cake made by Plugs of Trumpton. THIS oven could do with a good clean! Went for the cake first (and why not!), followed by the banana and then the plum. Sandwiches were rapidly demolished just before midday. Yoghurt will go shortly.
