BREAKFAST: Quick as a flash bowl of Weetabix with semi-skimmed cold organic milk. Walk to Work: Not occurring this week, as I am on holiday. Tomorrow is Isabella's first birthday. So today I am tidying the house... top to bottom. Mrs B insisted it would only take two hours, but four hours in and there is still plenty to do. I sort of got side-tracked by removing shutter doors to our kitchen and filling in the gap between boxed in pipes and the ceiling. So after penning this it's back to it double quick. Lunch: Just consumed 4 ham and cheese sandwiches on brown bread, followed by a banana and a lime and soda. Random Thought Year 2090: UK's population of house husbands breaks through the one million mark. Their numbers eclipsed housewives in 2050.

April 27th lunchbox

My archaeology friends from a previous life Breakfast: Satisfying bowl of Weetabix with semi-skimmed organic milk Walk to Work: Not happening today as I have a day of rest from income generation. A certain Mr Aled Blake called around and with Isabella in her pram we went for walk and talk around Llandaff Fields, before having a coffee. Had a text from Mr Ian Williams of International Business Wales fame about a gathering of bloggers in Cardiff Bay tonight. Perhaps they will declare war on the UK's army of trainspotters. Lunchbox: Wash, dried and stored away However, it is likely to be pressed into video action next week. Working on a project called Lunchbox Identity Parade, where an old lady, probably played by me or Aled , has to pick out the nasty lunchbox which ate her lunch... Oh dear Sion , you are being ridiculous. Random Thought: Go left , then right then straight on. After about a mile you will come to a monument in memory of the village's war dead. Opposite is

Isabella my daughter is getting ready for the summer. Breakfast: Hearty bowl of Weetabix with semi-skimmed organic milk. Walk to Work: Back on the Taff Trail, where cyclist traffic was the heaviest it has been for quite a while. With my i-Pod on I had to keep my wits about me. River Taff below was looking great with thousands of salmon being reintroduced upstream today... tremendous Lunchbox: [the lightest today in the history of this blog] 1 banana 4 ham and tomato brown bread sandwiches Random Thought: Listen to this I cannot hear anything Exactly What the hell are you on about! Tranquility my friend Oh for heaven's sake I haven't got time for this nonsense!

BREAKFAST: Very cheerful bowl of Weetabix with semi-skimmed organic milk. Isabella above was having too much fun in the kitchen to allow me to make some toast. Walk to Work: Mrs B and Isabella dropped me off at my venue of income generation in the centre of Cardiff. Lunchbox: 4 beef and tomato sandwiches on brown bread 1 banana 1 apple 2 digestive biscuits 1 Rachel's organic yoghurt. Random Thought Deep underground please don't make a sound Can you hear them above? The human race is about to discover a long lost brother. When you look to the sun we will not be undone our time is coming!

BREAKFAST A pretty good bowl of Cornflakes with semi-skimmed organic milk. Walk to Work It was down the Taff Trail again this morning. Just off the trail the new stadium at the home of Glamorgan County Cricket Club is coming on a treat. The frame to one of the stands is nearing completion. Quite a few cyclists and a what seemed like a mid 20s guy on a stakeboard passed me. Lunchbox 2 ham and tomato sandwiches 1 apple 2 digestive biscuits 1 Rachel's organic yoghurt Random Thought One game I never fancied playing is hurling. It's crazy, but no doubt a dentist's dream. Michael O' Reilly: Oh come on Sean/Sion it's a great game, fast and furious and a great show for all the family. Don't get me wrong Michael I don't mind watching it and I really like the guys in the white coats behind the posts. Michael: Would they be the dentists Sean/Sion? Oh yes perhaps they are. Smiles all around

BREAKFAST: Bowl of quasi-religious Cornflakes with semi-skimmed organic milk. Walk to Work: With rain in the air [most welcomed at that] it was with an umbrella that I headed off towards the lengendary Taff Trail. En route, a cyclist had to swerve to avoid a car. He then give the driver the bird big time! On the Taff Trial there were quite a few ducks and a single magnificent Swan on the River Taff below. Lunchbox 2 beef and tomato brown rolls 2 digestive biscuits 1 banana 1 apple A handful of green grapes. Random Thought Year 2050: Underneath that rugby maul is the future first president of Antarctica whose capital is AmundScott

A bit foggy this morning on account of having a few sherbets last night in a pub in Cardiff. Eclectic gathering of myself, Mr Ian Courtney; Mr Ian Williams; Prof Brian Morgan; Mr Robert Llewellyn-Jones; Mr Huw Eurig Davies; Mr David Williamson and his brother Andrew. Breakfast: Much needed bowl of Cornflakes with semi-skimmed organic milk. Then two pieces of toast with Olivo spread. Walk to Work: It was down Cowbridge Road East, which marches you straight in the centre of Cardiff. Wasn't really focused on activities around me. Lunchbox 4 ham and tomato sandwiches 2 chocolate digestive biscuits 1 apple 1 Rachel's organic yoghurt Random Thought The Seven Dwarfs are coming for tea, so excuse me I have to dash. Have a simply marvellous weekend

BREAKFAST: The dregs of the box of Branflakes , supplemented by Weetabix [one] with semi-skimmed organic milk. Walk to Work: It was down the Taff Trail this morning, where the River Taff below was looking extremely laid back. Ducks and squirrels were mingling pleasantly on the river's embankment. Lunchbox. This wasn't possible today, as we didn't have any bread this morning.. oh dear! So at lunchtime I went over to Boots to pay one of those Meal Deal things. Random Thought Annoying kid to his Dad after being told he cannot have £100 in cash. "I didn't ask to be born!" Dad [hurt but trying to stay cool] "Jack you're right, but you're here now so that's the end of it"

BREAKFAST: Nice rhythmic bowl of Branflakes with semi-skimmed cold organic milk. Walk to Work: Had to drop Isabella off at nursery as Mrs B was in London today. So I had a completely different walk in. I parked in the Grangetown area of Cardiff, where I spent my early years up until the age of 17. Hey, the streets were tough, but we had such a laugh. Okay give us an example? Well there was this time when my brother decided to set fire to.... oh come on it was a long time ago, and besides which nobody got hurt. Ps Grangetown is even closer to my place of work generation than our humble abode in Canton. Only took me 7 minutes. Lunchbox: 4 ham and tomato sandwiches 1 banana 1 Rachel's organic yoghurt 1 apple. Random Thought Tourist: Excuse me please, can you tell me where the Castle is please? One of two locals : It's about a mile that way. Tourist: Thank you. Local to other local : Burt you've sent her in the wrong direction. Burt: Yeah I know, I just felt like it Loc

BREAKFAST Honest as the day is long bowl of Weetabix with semi-skimmed organic milk. Walk to Work: It was down the Taff Trail again this morning. It was pretty busy with cyclists and a chap on his skateboard over taking me. A cyclist on passing me braked hard after his hat came off. I saved him the trouble by picking it up for him. Lunchbox 4 beef and tomato sandwiches 1 Rachel's organic yoghurt 1 banana 1 apple 1 chocolate biscuits. Random Thought Here is an extract from the novel Robotic Romance Mrs Robot: Honey on your way back from your dance class can you pick up a nice bottle of red? Mr Robot: I am not coming back darling. It's the end of the road for you and me. I need some space to re-evaluate things. Mrs Robot: Suit yourself honey.

BREAKFAST Very enjoyable bowl of Weetabix with semi-skimmed organic milk. Walk to Work: It was down the Taff Trail where a few ducks were travelling at leisure in the middle of the River Taff below. A man coming towards me nearly tumbled down the riverside embankment after losing his balance after turning sharply to whistle to his dog who was quite a way back. His footwear didn't look the greatest for grip! Lunchbox 4 beef and tomato sandwiches 1 apple 1 satsuma 1 banana 1 Rachel's organic yoghurt Random Thought Everybody was airlifted safely to shore over an hour ago. But the captain [a short-tempered woman from Bolivia] is still aboard. Here is a little video from my work colleague David Williamson . He is the guy who got me blogging in the first place. I love this little piece, entitled Mook

BREAKFAST: Very agreeable bowl of Branflakes with semi-skimmed organic milk Walk to Work Not happening today as I worked Sunday. So today I'm spending with Isabella our very nearly one year old daughter. So we were out walking at 10am for about an hour, of which 20 mins were spent on the swings in our local park Llandaff Fields. Then we went to see my parents and Isabella's teenage cousin Tomos, who was staying with his grandparents. Random Thought Come on boys if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. Have you ever committed a crime? Well, let me think. Okay, yes I have What was it Arthur? Come on Charles, who know what it was you were in on it from the start. Oh yes Arthur, I remember we held-up a farmers' market in Dumbarton in Scotland and made off with £5,000 grand. But we didn't get very far, did we Charles. That's right Arthur, they caught us up in their Land Rovers and gave us one hell of a beating. Taught us a lesson though didn't it. That&

BREAKFAST: Very agreeable bowl of Branflakes. My left foot was gain in pain today. It is not going away without a fight. Walk to Work: So Mrs B dropped me off at work on her way taking Isabella to nursery. Lunchbox 2 ham and tomato rolls 1 banana 1 apple Random Thought Year 2090: There's gold in 'em hills! Gold is found in plentiful supplies under where once stood the opto electronics Techium in North Wales

BREAKFAST: Above average bowl of Weetabix with semi-skimmed cold milk. Walk to Walk: Decided to venture down Cowbridge Road East again this morning, where a window cleaner outside a betting shop was taking what seemed like a well earned fag break [for US readers that's a cigarette!] Again pretty quiet with most people seemingly avoiding the call of income generation. Lunchbox 2 ham and tomato rolls 1 Rachel's Diary yoghurt banana apple Random Thought I've just found out that many people believe that Jesus had quite a few brothers, one by the name of James. I feel such a fool as everybody in the office I quizzed on the matter all seemed to know this. I am going to write to the Pope and ask why in school we were never taught that there would be people out there who believe that Jesus did have brothers and sisters too. Anyway, if they had kids, their descendents are no doubt kicking around today. I mean it is only like a baby to grown up and becoming a parent x around 65

BREAKFAST: Greatly appreciated bowl of Branflakes with semi-skimmed organic milk. Had two pieces of toast with Olivio spread and blackcurrant jam too. Walk to Work My left foot wasn't too great this morning, perhaps another outbreak of gout? Took an anti- inflammatory to help reduce the pain. So Mrs B gave me a lift into work, with little Isabella, who I have taken to calling Little Sion , in the back en route to her nursery in Cardiff Bay. Might stop calling her little Sion as her name is Isabella. Lunchbox 1 banana 1 apple slice of melon 4 ham and tomato sandwiches Random Thought 1980: Ministers abandon plans to make 20 press ups a day compulsory in all state run schools, with plans to introduce legislation to cover all public sector workers in the UK as well. I think they missed a great opportunity.

BREAKFAST: Bowl of Weetabix with semi-skimmed organic milk. Then had two pieces of toasted white bread with Olivio spread and blackcurrant jam. Walk to Work: Bank Holiday here in the UK, but I had another revenue generation day. Strolled down a very quiet Cowbridge Road East, which, make no mistake, takes you into the centre of Cardiff. Lunchbox: 4 ham and tomato sandwiches 1 Rachel's organic yoghurt 1 banana some grapes 1 apple Random Thought Take a bow my gallant moon dancers. Don't give the sun a second thought you have brigthened so many souls.

Breakfast: Bowl of Shreddies and a sprinkling of porridge oats with semi-skimmed organic cold milk. Walk to Work: Very quiet, being a bank holiday here in the UK, as I strolled along Cowbridge Road East, which leads into the centre of Cardiff. Lunchbox: Left at home today. Instead Mrs B came into town, as my parents were looking after Isabella. We then decided to go for lunch at a very nice Italian restaurant called Casanova, located close to the Millennium Stadium and run by two brothers from Naples. I had very a fine home made chicken liver pate to start. Then had an excellent piece of tuna, while Mrs B had a salmon and cream pasta dish. We then shared a delicious tiramasu. Molto bene! RANDOM THOUGHT Year 2090: The world's population of energy and water thirsty dish washing machines mysteriously vanish over night. Which is quite something as there are more than 500 million of the things. So people have to start washing up again... an art lost on so many.

HERE is my daughter Isabella and a very creative Easter bonnet made by her mum. Later in the day she took first prize at her nursery. Walk to Work: Glorious morning here in South Wales as I ventured down the Taff Trail and into the centre of Cardiff. Birdsong was in air and quite a few ducks too on the River Taff below. The immacuately groomed white husky dog was also on trail with his owner. Lunchbox 2 brown rolls with Dairylea... it was that or tinned salmon this morning 1 banana 1 apple 1 satsuma Random Thought Where have all the libraries gone The authors names and titles strong? In times of conflict, fear and strife, no hands to turn the pages. But in my mind a chapter penned and thoughts of sequels gleaming

BREAKFAST : Rip-roaring bowl of Shreddies with semi-skimmed cold organic milk Walk to Work : Down Cowbridge Road East this morning as I floated into the centre of Cardiff. Traffic was pretty light with the Easter break upon us. Lunchbox 4 ham and tomato sandwiches 1 banana 1 apple 1 Rachel's organic yoghurt Random Thought Christmas morning 1969 : I am delighted to find a yellow submarine has been left at the bottom of my bed. If I was sad enough then aged four to keep it in its packaging with a view to selling it at auction in 2005, I could have made a few quid. Christmas Day 1975: Delighted to find a black and white portable television has been left by Santa.... althought I have my doubts as to his existence, I am happy to play along with things. I still have that television and it still works. Sometimes I use it to watch the snooker. I am going to treasure it and pass it onto my daughter Isabella when she turns 18.

Breakfast: Peaceful bowl of Cornflakes with semi-skimmed cold organic milk Walk to Work: It was down the Taff Trail, where there was more cyclist traffic than of late. A number of joggers were also to be seen. A regal Swan was again on the River Taff below, but couldn't be certain it was the same wonderful creature of yesterday. Note of concern : Rubbish levels on the other bank of the river in the grounds of Cardiff Castle, were terrible. Just don't get the mentality of people who are happy to drop their rubbish. Lunchbox 2 digestive chocolate biscuits 2 ham and tomato rolls 1 Rachel's organic yoghurt 1 banana 1 apple 1 satsuma RANDOM THOUGHT Don't forget that failure is an option. I always wanted to run a franchise business, until one day my landlord had me evicted from my basement apartment. From there I spiralled into deep despair, lost my job, girlfriend and contact will all friends and family. I had just turned 30 and was pretty down I can tell you, until one bri

BREAKFAST: Fantastic bowl of Shreddies with semi-skimmed cold organic milk. Walk to Work: Reacquainted with my old friend Mr Ipod this morning as I whistled my way along the Taff Trail, which meanders into the centre of Cardiff... and yes beyond. No dogs or squirrels to be seen today. However, a regal Swan was on the River Taff below. At the home of Glamorgan County Cricket club steel frames for its new arena can be seen in parts standing tall. Lunchbox [brilliant effort by Mrs B today] 2 ham and tomato rolls Strawberries and grapes wrapped in tinfoil 2 chocolate biscuits 1 banana 1 apple 1 satsuma Random Thought A statement from Burt's solicitors: Our client Burt from Sesame Street would like to make it clear that he is in no way related, even distantly, to Wales "greatest ever living servant" Gareth Hall. However, this in no way questions a claim made by his on-screen partner Ernie - which appeared in a Random Thought on Sion Barry's World last week - in whi
