Tremendous thunder storms during the night here in humble South Wales. Breakfast: Very good bowl of Branflakes with semi-skimmed organic milk. Walk to work : It was down Cowbridge Road East this morning, which leads in the centre of Cardiff. Lunchbox: Not required today as I was lunching with affable entrepreneur Michael Plaut in the very agreeable Park Plaza Hotel. Chatted about many things including work/life balance, China, global warming, to the good old public sector here in Wales. Random Thought Marianne Marks said this, "I would not think anything, this is just a rabbit, but I would not necesarily think of food."

CAME across this uprooted tree the other day at Thomson's Park in Cardiff. BREAKFAST: Great bowl of Branflakes with semi-skimmed cold milk. Walk to Work: It was down the Taff Trail, where drizzle was a constant companion. The River Taff was moving, but I certainly wouldn't describe it as lively. Just off the trail under the Moscow State Circle had arrived, but they have yet to put up their big tent. Lunchbox 4 small ham and tomato rolls 2 pieces of Mrs B chocolate crunch... with one for colleague David Williamson 1 satsuma 1 banana 1 Rachel's organic yoghurt 1 apple Random Thought Chocolate in the Community has appointed "Mad Annie" as its new vice president for Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Australasia and Whitchurch Hospital. Annie said , "We will be putting corporate chocolate responsibility at the heart of the organisation." CinC has also appointed Peter "I'm the Daddy" Williams as its new director of business development for

BREAKFAST : Nice bowl of Branflakes with semi-skimmed organic cold milk. Walk to Work: With my new thicker black shoe laces it was nice not to have to stop every 300 yards to tie them up. It was down the Taff Trial this morning, with a spring like feel in the air. Quite a few cyclists whistled past and a few dogs were out too with their generally happy looking owners. Lunchbox: 4 small ham rolls. 2 pieces of Mr B's excellent chocolate crunch... one piece was for my colleague David Williamson. 1 banana 1 apple 1 Rachel's organic yoghurt. RANDOM THOUGHT The four main political parties in Wales are looking to sharpen up their business credentials.

Breakfast : It was down to St David's Hotel and Spa in Cardiff for a breakfast meeting where former leader of Plaid Cymru Dafydd Wigley painted a picture of tax friendly regime in Wales for businesses. So no Walk to Work today, Lunchbox 2 ham and tomato rolls 1 Rachel's organic yoghurt 2 digestive biscuits 1 banana 1 apple 1 satsuma . RANDOM THOUGHT It you happen to slip and fall in the street and a stranger helps you back up to your feet it's a good feeling _ provided they don't cunningly steal your wallet or purse in the process! But when you are with a friend or a loved one, and you fall, you expect them to help you to your feet. You might say thank you, but your faith in humanity is not usually altered in anyway. I have been pretty good on my feet of late... in fact I cannot remember the last time I collapsed to the ground. Have to say that seeing someone falling is quite funny.... providing they are not really hurt and are not poor old ladies Have a steady

BREAKFAST : Bowl of pretty decent Cornflakes with semi-skimmed cold organic milk. Walk to Work; It was down the lengendary Taff Trail, with drizzle in the air this morning. Also, I had to do up my shoes laces about five times! The ones I have are too thin. Lunchbox: 1 ham brown roll and a beef one as well. 2 digestive biscuits A fist full of dried blueberries 1 banana 1 apple 1 satsuma Random Thought: March 2008: Wales's greatEST living civil servant Gareth Hall has a "right result" after buying 100 much needed commerically focused customer relationship managers for £5.31p at a car boot sale in Llandeilo.... well done Gareth you have saved the day again for Dein.

BREAKFAST : A birthday breakfast for Mrs B and I and our fast approaching 10 month old daughter Isabella. Croissants, cornflakes, toast and tea were all consumed around for the first time, a family table, with Isabella in her high chair with her bowl of organic Weetabix and toast. No Walk to Work today as I have a day off and so does Mrs B who is 15x2 today - a time and place long past for me! But I look forward to being 130!... come on medical science you can help here. Lunch... that will be low key as we are going out for dinner at a restaurant in Cardiff Bay by the name of Woods. Random Thought When I first saw a tank, my heart sank I knew this was no school boy prank. War was about to accelerate, women, children the old and the sick get in line

BREAKFAST Musical hall like bowl of Weetabix with semi-skimmed organic milk. Then had a cup of boiled water with freshly squeezed lemon juice... oh what a delicate flower! Walk to Work; It was down the Taff Trail, where the River Taff was very calm. Quite a few dogs were out running with their owners. In the distantce I saw the immacuately groomed white husky dog crossing over the neat pedestrian bridge with his owner en route to the magnificient grounds of Cardiff Castle. Lunchbox 2 digestive biscuits. 1 Rachel's organic yoghurt 1 banana 1 apple 1 satsuma 2 ham brown rolls RANDOM THOUGHT Year 2090: First Big Issue seller spotted on the streets of the Antarctican capital of AmundScott

BREAKFAST: Great bowl of Cornflakes with semi-skimmed organic milk. Walk to Work: It was down Cowbridge Road East this morning and not the usual legendary Taff Trail - I think we will both benefit from the break! HAD to get across town at 10am for a video interview with the chief executive of Admiral, Henry Engelhardt. Great views are to had of Cardiff from the 22nd floor of Capital Tower, where Henry and his gang run one of the great success stories of Wales plc. Lunchbox 1 slice of chocolate cake... my parents had a little birthday tea yesterday for Mrs B, whose big day is this Wednesday. 2 digestive biscuits 2 ham and tomato brown rolls 1 banana 1 apple 1 satsuma Random Thought HERE is RHYS JAMES of the Cardiff office of chartered surveyors, DTZ. But who does good old Rhys look like? Suggestions please.

BREAKFAST : Bowl of Weetabix with cold semi-skimmed organic milk and two pieces of toast with Olivio spread and blackcurrant jam, a glass of water and 15 mins later a cup of tea. Walk to Work : Not happening today, as I have a day off for working last Sunday.... the priesthood on reflection could have been an option. I have no fear of death, but what has that got to do with the price of lemon sherbets? I have no idea, but here's a picture of some anyway. Today I am looking after our fast approaching 10 month old daughter Isabella. RANDOM THOUGHT This hotel has many stars. I've down loaded my future and digitised my past. The present? That can take care of itself. Have an awesome weekend!

BREAKFAST: Spiritual bowl of Weetabix with organic semi-skimmed milk. Walk to Work : Back down the Taff Trail again this morning, where I moved more quickly than usual [not a bad thing at all] to avoid encroaching dark clouds from the north. But as it transpired it didn't rain all day and turned out quite nice, if a little on the windy side. Lunchbox: Not needed today as I had a very agreeable lunch with the irrepressible and always engaging Bob Croydon and his chums from King Sturge at the Park Plaza Hotel. RANDOM THOUGHT Book early for a holiday of a lifetime with Astral Travel.

Lunchbox 1 satsuma 1 apple 1 banana 2 brown rolls with tinned salmon and hint of lemon juice RANDOM THOUGHT [well not so for once] All the love in the world to Mrs B

Funny old thing this blogging. I don't post my daily ramblings until nearly 9pm UK time and I find from my site metre that I've had my highest traffic rate for months! As the old adage goes: "The best thing is to say nothing" Anyway, I did have breakfast, I did walk work. I did have a lunchbox... but kind of got consumed by work. Message from my daughter Isabella: "Oh daddy, don't worry about it... be happy and try to smile like me" Okay kid, I will.

BREAKFAST: Bowl of Branflakes, the dregs of the box, supplemented with Weetabix and semi-skimmed organic milk WALK to Work; It was down the Taff Trail, where I got drenched following an outbreak of pretty strong precipitation . The River Taff below had a bit more intent than the Welsh rugby team on Saturday. Lunchbox: 2 tinned salmon brown rolls with a hint of lemon juice 1 Rachel's organic yoghurt 1 banana 1 satsuma 1 apple. RANDOM THOUGHT I often dream of wealth and gold. Walking the streets at 2pm, where the world moves at such a relaxing pace. A language learned at leisure and a carpentry course for good measure.

BREAKFAST: Bowl of Branflakes with semi-skimmed organic milk and a cup of boiled water with freshly squeezed lemon juice. Walk to Work: Snow had returned to Cardiff this morning, with some almighty flakes tumbling from the skies. It was down Cowbridge Road East again... the quickest route for me into the centre of Cardiff. Lunchbox 2 ham and tomato brown rolls 1 satsuma 1 small M&S lemon cake.. kindly provided by a certain Kate Sullivan. Random Thought Rehearsals are well advanced in the Welsh Assembly's remake of the hit 1952 Hollywood musical, Singing in the Rain . The three lead roles will be played by: James Price [Gene Kelly]; Ian Williams [Donald O' Connor] and Sharon Linnard [Debbie Reynolds]. Filming is scheduled to start in Treorchy in September. Assembly e-mail to Dai Davies: Hi Dai, Can you tell the Creative Industry IP Fund darlings to put a whole load of cash behind this movie. Might be better coming from you and all. See you at Andrew's big bash ton

BRE AKFAST: With snow on the ground outside our humble abode it had to be bowl of Weetabix with hot semi-skimmed organic milk. Walk to Work: With a few inches of snow it was down Cowbridge Road East this morning. Heard two kids trying to convince their mother that their school was closed beacuse of the snow. Her response was straight and to the point: "Bloody rubbish." Lunchbox 2 ham and tomato brown rolls 2 digestive biscuits 1 apple 1 banana 1 satsuma 1 Rachel's organic yoghurt. RANDOM THOUGHT Keep climbing my dear friends, despite the fading light. Cynical winds are conspiring to dampen your spirits. But your hopes and dreams burn too brightly to be deterred.

BREAKFAST : Weetabix with semi-skimmed hot organic milk. Walk to Work: It was down Cowbridge Road East for a change, which marches into the centre of Cardiff. BREAKFAST: Bowl of Branflakes with semi-skimmed cold organic milk. Walk to Work: Down the Taff Trail [oh yes again!] where the artistic hand of frost had been at work. Each day there are different things to see on the trail, it's not all about dogs, their owners, ducks, squirrels, joggers you know _ but no outer body experiences to report to date. Lunchbox 2 ham and tomato brown rolls 2 digestive biscuits 1 banana 1 Rachel's yoghurt 1 apple 1 satsuma Random Thought Is that the Welsh Assembly's senior civil service team?

BREAKFAST: Weetabix 3 strong with semi-skimmed organic milk. Walk to Work: It was down the Taff Trail, where joggers of various ages, sizes and pace, were out in force. A bold little robin I spied just a few feet away from me just off the trail. The immaculate white Husky dog and his owner were out walking together [not seen them in ages] with the almost stationery British Bulldog and his owner. Lunchbox: 2 ham and tomato brown rolls 1 Rachel's organic yoghurt 2 digestive biscuits 1 banana 1 satsuma 1 apple Random Thought R U 4 real?

BREAKFAST: Bowl of Weetabix [3] with semi-skimmed organic cold milk, cup of boiled water with freshly squeezed lemon juice and honey. Walk to Work : Didn't happened today. Spending the day with my nine month old daughter Isabella. After nine months maternity leave, Mrs B started back in work yesterday. After Isabella's breakfast, which was organic Weetabix with organic banana, she had a little nap for half an hour at 9.10am. We then went for a walk around our local park, Llandaff Fields, where my parents [both retired] joined us. Isabella had great fun in a swing in the playground. Lunch. After Isabella's, which was Shepherd's Pie with carrots and brocolli, followed by banana yoghurt, I had mine... two cheese and ham brown rolls, an apple and a satsuma. When she wakes up [hopefully after 2pm] it's in the pram for a walk into the centre of Cardif [capital of Wales] Random Thought Surrendering in a conflict [providing the enemy are tuned into the Geneva Convention
