April 29 lunchbox

IN the North of England this week, at a town called Preston. Took a train to get here and managed to take a taxi ride to the wrong hotel... but don't worry, it was an interesting experience. Random Thought: Rich pictures: If you have a pen and some paper handy draw an animal that you think best represents you. Then spend 10 minutes being that animal.. okay make that 39 seconds. All the love in the world to Mrs B and Isabella, whose 2nd birthday I will sadly miss on Thursday.

BREAKFAST: A formidable bowl of Branflakes with semi-skimmed organic cold milk. Then had two pieces of toast with blackcurrant jam and a cup of tea... yes I know! Not at my venue of income generation today and not feeling too great on account of a few sherberts last night [two too many] with a fine gathering of gentlemen at a drinking venue in the centre of Cardiff. Had to drop Mrs B off at her venue of income generation this morning and then went to look at a house... very nice, but asking too much £265,000 to be precise, the bells of stamp duty were ringing loud, but negotiations could be fun. Random Thought. Bhutan has a wonderful happiness measure and has banned things like tobacco as its Government believes it makes the country less happy. What about alternative measures for us here in Wales... I mean GVA , or GDP is just so boring. DSR : Dentist surgery radio use per head of population HAS: Hide and Seek games per 10,000 television watching adults Enough Sion !

Breakfast: Appreciative bowl of Branflakes with semi-skimmed cold organic milk. Walk to Work: Had thoughts of taking my once regular route down the River Taff Trail, but the pull of Cowbridge Road East was too great [and it's also about 8 minutes quicker]. Nothing of great note to report en route, there was no UFO activity or any Morris dancing. Lunchbox 2 ham and tomato sandwiches 1 apple 1banana Random Thought: Take a famous quote for your own purposes: "Never in the field of call centres have so many callers been left so frustrated and annoyed, but cannot be arsed to change providers, as they are probably not much better."

BREAKFAST: A centre of the universe bowl of branflakes with semi-skimmed cold milk. Walk to Work: Down Cowbridge Road East where I guess many people aren't at peace. Noticed that flats above the former Hypervalue store look ready for occupation. Arrived at work, rather weary, but aware of my surroundings. Lunchbox: I forgot that again today. Had to drop Isabella to my parents and never really recovered in time to cut bread. I know it's totally pathetic. Random Thought : March 3, in the Year 3333. I don't know how, but I am still alive. But things get a bit weird as the only person [that might be stretching it] I can find is Lord Charles the 20 th ventriloquist doll of Ray Allen.

BREAKFAST: Very entertaining bowl of Weetabix [3]with semi-skimmed organic milk. This morning we all managed to sit around the table as a family. Little Isabella seemed to enjoy being up high on her booster seat. Walk to Work: Down Cowbridge Road East this morning. Much merriment as I passed the infamous Tuck In almost 24 diner. A customer rushed out in a pair of shorts and was shouting something about running a marathon. He was completely crazy, but the few customers inside were heartily entertained. Lunchbox: Forgot the lunchbox today... well to be honest I didn't bother making any sandwiches - something which is predominantly done by Mrs B anyway. Random Thought: My work colleague Aled [pictured contemplating the after life and Cardiff City FC in the 24th century] has just returned from Cardiff Market with two bags of sweets. He has lifted the mood considerably.... well done Aled. The Tonteg Kid once had a wonderful blog about a Cornflake themed superhero.

Breakfast: Amazing bowl of Shreddies with semi-skimmed cold organic milk, I kid you not. Walk to Work: It was down Cowbridge Road East which carries taxpaying and non taxpaying citizens alike into the centre of Cardiff. You could go the other way, but that would take you towards the Ely suburb of the city, where once there were several days of rioting all over the price of a loaf of bread in a corner shop. Lunchbox: 4 ham, tomato and salad sandwiches A medley of strawberries, grapes and raspberries [ top draw!] 1 apple 1 banana 2 chocolate digestive biscuits A vision of the Virgin Mary [I just made that up] Random Thought: There are many people at income generation venues around this planet who give the impression of being busy, but are really not. I have found that pretending to be busy when you are doing zero, is probably the hardest of all.

NOT at my venue of income generation today. I worked last Sunday and very hard too! So today it's just me and little Isabella. Dropped Mrs B to here venue of income generation in Cardiff Bay. En route we passed the immaculately groomed white Huskey dog and his owner, who I have often referred to in this blog - which I changed the lay-out of last night only to lose my site metre which was showing 26,000 unique users!!! But what the hell it's only a number. Isabella and I then went to see my parents [her grand] at a nice house in the Llandaff area of Cardiff. Random Thought: Bus driver having a fag outside his vehicle which is not due to depart for 10 minutes. Bus driver : " Not deliberately walked with my eyes closed for a while. Have to say every time I try, even on a secluded sandy beach hundreds of yards from the sea, I cannot go more than say 10 seconds before the pressure in my head gets so great I have to open them." Bus inspector: "What the hell you talki

WAS up very early this morning as Mrs B had to go to London on business. She later bought some sushi on the train back home, which I thought was splendid. I had to take Isabella to my parents after dropping off Mrs B at the train station. Had silly pains in my right foot again... I suspect it's gout again. I mean how much gout can a middle aged man take? So my father [who is 70 sometime soon] drove me into the centre of Cardiff and my venue of income generation. So was there at 8am and managed to stage exit left about around 6.40pm. Lunchbox: 3 prawn sandwiches 2 digestive biscuits Strawberries and blueberries 1 peach [but it turned out to black inside so passed up its consumption] 1 banana 1 apple. Random Thought I used to think I was invincible, until I stumbled upon a dust covered book at the back of the garage. I was intrigued and started to read, with its funny looking letters, like a medieval manuscript. I was in its grip as time passed and passed; a story about a French w

BREAKFAST: Very satisfying bowl of Cornflakes with semi-skimmed organic milk. Walk to Work: It was down Cowbridge Road East, which takes all manner of shaped people into the centre of Cardiff, whether on foot, bicycle, car or public transport. Could be possible to travel a considerable distance on roof tops, but have no inclination to do so. It was pretty quiet this morning, the kids are still on Easter holiday [ vacation ] here in South Wales. Lunchbox: 1 peach 1 banana 4 ham sandwiches 2 chocolate digestive biscuits Random Thought: The moment I didn't seize. I can barely remember where I was born... I mean I should as I lived there until the age of nine. A few years back I went to what I thought was the street where I was raised, but I lost my bearings on that hideous industrial estate. Right what about a nice cup of tea and some home made Chocolate Cake? Yes I feel better already.
