HERE is the home of Glamorgan County Cricket Club, Sophia Gardens. I pass it everyday as I walk to work down the Taff Trail, so decided to take this shot. BREAKFAST: Extremely enjoyable bowl of Cornflakes with semi-skimmed cold milk. THE Walk to Work. Down the Taff Trial again where an elderly, but sprightly looking chap, was being taken for a walk by his rather large black dog. Deligthed to see the first squirrel on the trail for quite sometime. lunchbox. 4 ham sandwiches on granary bread 1 banana 1 nectarine some red and green grapes 1 Toffee flavoured yoghurt. Only if you go first! Food was consumed by midday Random Thought. 2011: Former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, pictured above, on the first leg of his world mountaineering tour. His climbing companion (out of shot put holding the rope) is 1970s glam rocker Alvin Stardust.

BREAKFAT: Engaging bowl of Cornflakes with semi-skimmed cold milk. The Walk to Work IT was down the Taff Trail, where everything was very still until two Ravens took to the air from a tree just to my right squawking like mad. To make my walk a litle more interesting, I decided to walk with my eyes closed for 10 seconds. My aim next week is to increase it to 15 seconds... It's quite a weird sensation and you feel disorientated, but I find when I open my eyes I feel really clear in thought.... (listen mate why don't you just keep them closed permanently!) Lunchbox 4 salmon sandwiches with a hint of lemon juice on granary bread 2 digestive biscuits 1 banana 1 nectarine Painting over bricks should be banned The contents of my Addis lunchbox were all gone by midday. RANDOM THOUGHT. 2122: Listen up human race it's payback time! Have a great weekend

BREAKFAST : Very enjoyable bowl of Cornflakes with semi-skimmed cold milk. WALK to WORK: It was down the River Taff Trail where the River Taff below was motionless. A bit cooler than of late. Nearly an accident as a woman on joining the trail had to move rather sharpish to avoid a cyclist travelling at tremendous speed. The Lunchbox 2 ham and salad sandwiches 1 piece of baguette with ham and salad 1 banana 1 nectarine 2 digestive biscuits Bloody hell guys I said prune it not cut the thing down! Food was all consumed by midday RANDOM THOUGHT I have come back in time to the planet, Earth, to seek a certain Sir Bob Geldof for a game of three-dimensional chess... and a great piss up in Temple Bar, Dublin.

BREAKFAST: Bowl of Cornflakes with semi-skimmed cold milk. THE WALK to WORK : Down the Taff Trail again this morning _ had to admit I do sometimes tire of taking the same route into work each day. Not really many alternatives though, apart from going down Cathedral Road or the hideous Cowbridge Road East. Not a great deal going on today. Quite a few ducks I saw on the River Taff below and a number of dogs were also to be found in the river too, with their unconcerned owners looking on. A Korean woman passed me out for her morning power jog. Lunchbox 4 pieces of toasted brown bread 1 container of humous 1 nectarine 1 banana grapes wrapped in tinfoil 2 digestive biscuits. Mrs B again prepared the lunchbox. It was the first time that humous and toast had made an appearance and was very pleased to see them. Has anyone got a number for the council's highway department? RANDOM THOUGHT 2090: The Antarctica Philamonic Orchestra in rehesarals for their first ever concert at Evans Opera Ho

A little podcast about a house break-in and the Wurzels. Click here to hear it BREAKFAST: Wonderful bowl of Cornflakes with semi-skimmed cold milk The Walk to Work IT was down the River Taff Trail. Have to report that demolition work to turn Sophia Gardens _ the home of Glamorgan County Cricket Club_ into a test arena is advancing. A mechanical digger was hard at work demolishing one part of the ground, which served as offices and makeshift corporate hospitality boxes. A chap was in the middle of the River Taff fishing... looked very impressive with the necessary fishing gear. LUNCHBOX 4 ham and salad sandwiches on granary bread 2 digestive biscuits 1 banana 1 nectarine 1 container of raspberries and red and green grapes. It was all gone by 2pm. RANDOM THOUGHT Keep on moving and no talking!

BREAKFAST: Awesome bowl of Cornflakes with a few Porridge Oates thrown in with semi-skimmed cold milk. The Walk to Work: Another wonderful morning here in sunny South Wales. Was in high spirits as I headed down the Taff Trail that leads into the centre of Cardiff. Why? Because for the second night running we had a full night's sleep since the birth of our daughter Isabella three months ago today. She went from 11pm to 7am without a sound. We are not counting our chickens (or dummies), and oh yes we know all about the pitfalls of teething, but what a result! Not many people on the Taff Trail this morning, but quite a few cyclists whistled past. A few ducks were on the River Taff below. LUNCHBOX 2 digestive biscuits 4 ham, salad and tomato sandiwches 1 container of strawberries and raspberries 1 banana. IF that's the Tax Office I'm not here. Biscuits were first to go at 11am, quickly followed by the banana. Sandwiches were a dream and were consumed by midday, followed by th

OH dear rather hung over this morning. Was in Cardiff Castle last night for a farewell dinner for Sir Digby Jones who recently stood down as director general of the CBI. They were all there to say goodbye, very important businessmen, politicians and the like. After the dinner I ended up in the bar of the Hilton Hotel and got home at 20 to 1am. Breakfast: Mrs B brought up a tray containing a bowl of Cornflakes, a banana, two pieces of toast with Olivio spread and blackcurrant jam, a glass of water and paracetomol.... that was a wonderful thing to do. At 11am went for a run around my local park Llandaff Fields.... as my dad would say I was "sweating like a pig" Most alcohol I have consumed in one day? (this was first posted on this blog in March) I was 18 and had about four pints at lunch time with a mate [David Herbert]. We then bought a gallon of cider from an off-licence and headed for the grounds of Cardiff Castle to drink it, but I don't think we managed to finish

OH dear another late blog entry ... as I am writing at my office desk at 6.3opm... I have to be in Cardiff Castle by 7pm for a farwell dinner for the recently departed director general of the CBI, Sir Digby Jones... boy can he talk! So what did I have for breakfast? Come on Sion it wasn't that long ago. Oh yes it was a bowl of 3 Weetabix. I was in work by 8am _ nice walk down the Taff Trail, as I had a meeting with a doctor turned financier who has launched his own executive Helicopter venture... a certain Doctor Jeremy Stone, who I never noticed until he showed me has one finger missing. Captain Julian Verity who runs Cardiff Heliport was also there... he hasn't crashed a helicopter into a house in Cardiff for a quite a while. RANDOM THOUGHT. If I could I would buy you all a nice cold pint of lager... cheers to Digby, Jeremy and Julian.

BREAKFAST: Spiritual bowl of Rice Crispies with semi-skimmed cold milk. WALK to WORK Down the lengendary Taff Trail which follows the mighty River Taff into the centre of Cardiff. It is going to be another scorching hot day here in South Wales. A chap with a 70s style perm passed me on the trail all dressed in white and carrying two plastic bags... no idea on their contents. Quite a few ducks were on the River Taff below. LUNCHBOX... all prepared by the wonderful Mrs B 4 salmon (tinned variety) sandwiches on granary bread with a hint of lemon juice. 2 digestive biscuits 1 banana 1 nectarine 1 Vanilla flavoured Muller Light Yoghurt. I don't care if you are the Tsar of Russia, this is a no smoking pub Food was gone all by midday. RANDOM THOUGHT Cannot see a complete three there can you?

Breakfast: Sensational bowl of Rice Crispies with semi-skimmed cold milk. Walk to Work : I set off in the knowledge that today will be one of the hottest days ever on record in Cardiff... is this the start of the end of the world as we know it? Probably not, but thoughts of refugee camps in the Brecon Beacons, as rising sea levels put Cardiff under water, sprang to mind. Down the Taff Trail and it was a case of the Far East this morning. The first person to pass me was possibly a Korean woman out for a morning jog. The next person to pass was, I am almost certain, was a Japanese lady, who far more sensibly was walking slowly while being shaded by a nice white umbrella. The River Taff below was again extremely lethargic. The Lunchbox 1 banana 1 nectarine 4 ham and tomato sandwiches on granary bread 1 vanilla flavoured yoghurt . If I won the lottery I would buy Caerphilly Castle and hold a banquet everyday for all my mates! RANDOM THOUGHT 2190: Having been sold [The United Kindgom of Gr

BREAKFAST: Interesting bowl of Branflakes with semi-skimmed milk. The Walk to Work: Was so preoccupied with thoughts in my head that I really didn't notice anything while walking along the Taff Trail this morning, by the time I did I was on Canton Bridge on heading into the centre of Cardiff Lunchbox. 1 banana 1 nectarine 4 ham and tomato sandwiches 1 small container of strawberries and grapes. BREAKFAST: Splendid bowl of Branflakes with semi-skimmed milk THE Walk to Work : It was down a very sunny Taff Trail this morning. The River Taff below was as calm as can be. I spotted a squirrel darting towards a rubbish bin. Three Muslim women, out for a morning jog, then passed me Lunchbox 4 salmon sandwiches (tinned variety) on granary bread. 1 banana 1 curly wurly 1 apple 1 vanilla flavoured yoghurt. OH dear I've forgotten the spell to turn Tesco's back into a corner shop and have only gone and created another me Food was all gone by midday. This is the latest time I have ever posted a blog entry(nearly 7pm UK time). How do you feel about that? I don't really know? Is the blog important to you? Yes it is. So you have feelings for the blog? Well yes... I was being a bit defensive on your first question. What about your childhood? I do remember giggling quite a bit. ENOUGH of this Nonsense. Breakfast: Was a fruit salad at a business bash at St David's Hotel and Spa in Cardiff Bay... this meant the Walk to Work this morning didn't happen as I made use of an automobile. LUNCHBOX 4 delicious salmon (smoked variety) sandwiches on granary bread. 1 curly wurly chocolate bar. 1 banana 1 apple 1 Cherry flavoured Muller Light yoghurt. All was gone by 1pm. RANDOM THOUGHT 2020: Progressive rockers Yes successfully land on the surface of Mars for the first leg of their Tour of the Universe.

BREAKFAST : Very agreeable bowl of Shreddies with semi-skimmed milk. THE Walk to Work: The Taff Trail was pretty low key again today, with the River Taff below hardly moving. At the end of the trail _ where I cross into the centre of Cardiff via Canton Bridge _ two chaps from a company aptly named WeedControl, where busy spraying a concoction of chemicals on shrubs and flowers just yards to my right. LUNCHBOX. 1 banana 4 ham sandwiches 1 peach 1 chocolate brownie ( kindly supplied by a certain Annabel Lloyd of the South Wales seaside town of Penarth). All was gone by midday... and why not indeed! Have you got anything stronger? RANDOM THOUGHT IF I was transported back in time to 1777 I would have no idea how to invent the telephone, but I would have a jolly good go at creating the world's first rotary washing line.... which yes I am assuming wasn't around then, but then again.

Sometimes we all wish that we could be someone else [ Rod Stewart perhaps ?] but the reality is, that at the moment, this isn't medically possible. So here is a little song to remind us all that being "me" is the greatest thing of all... providing you are not a complete psycopath and a menace to society. Click here to hear the world premiere of the Being Me Song> BREAKFAST: Deligthful bowl of Branflakes. WALK to Work: As I meandered down the Taff Trail, which follows the River Taff into the centre of Cardiff, a branch from a tree came crashing down some five yards in front of me. A very old looking small dog then appeared and started to devour some long looking grass on the river bank below. Lunchbox 4 salmon (smoked variety) on granary bread 1 banana 2 digestive biscuits 1 container of grapes and cheeries. It was all consumed by 1pm. BREAKFAST : Nice bowl of Shreddies with semi-skimmed cold milk. The Walk to Work: Was good to be back on the Taff Trail after a week's holiday. The River Taff below was so placid this morning as I spied a duck taking to flight. Past the home of Glamorgan County Cricket Club , Sophia Gardens, and a mechanical digger was hard at work at one end of the ground where a small stand had stood last week. I guess it marks the beginning of construction to turn the ground into a test cricket arena. Pretty light on cyclists and pedestrians this morning along the trail. LUNCHBOX. Back in action after a week's recuperation. 1 container of cherries. 1 Cherry flavoured Muller Light Yoghurt. 4 ham and tomato sandwiches. 2 digestive biscuits. 1 banana Let it settle for a minute or two Digestives were first to out (not a gay affirmation thing), followed by the banana. Must say it was an accident waiting to happen. When I was a kid I used to make up sins because to be honest I hadn't done anything too bad at all, but felt I had to give the priest something meaty to ask God for forgiveness on my behalf.

BREAKFAST: Supreme bowl of Shreddies with semi-skimmed cold milk. Walk to Work... didn't happen as I have a week's holiday. Lunchbox... stored away until next week. Spent most of the morning up and down a ladder sealing and painting the window sills to the front of our house. Not been up a ladder for quite a while... but was pretty steady throughout. Would you like to share your sweets with the rest of the class? RANDOM THOUGHT 2099:ADVANCES in technology means that queuing becomes a thing of the past. However, in the UK the queuing gene is hard to eradicate with people still joining queues for no reason whatsoever in towns and cities around the country... although it is particularly bad in the North of England town of Bolton where at one stage 60% of its population are found queuing in a line with no purpose.

BREAKFAST : Mrs B brought me breakfast in bed this morning consisting of: a bowl of Shreddies with semi-skimmed cold milk; two pieces of toast with olivio spread and blackcurrant jam and a glass of water. We are experiencing something of a heatwave in South Wales at the moment so keeping hydrated is going to be key over the next few days. Walk to Work . This will not happen this week as I am on holiday. Lunchbox: Washed, dried and stored away in its favourite cupboard in our kitchen. This morning Petra I and our nine week today old daughter Isabella were out shopping... first it was a webcam, then a travel cot, and then some rust busting metal paint _ interesting combination that. Oh it's so hot, but what must it be like in land? RANDOM THOUGHT 2020: Croydon, Surrey, is voted the best place to live in the South East of England. For many years people living in the region have always looked down their noses at the place.... I have been quite a few times and always been a fan of Cr
