THE FULL STORY of John Leslie and his buddy Rhodri Williams 2008: Seismologists tell the Japanese Government that Tokyo will be destroyed by a massive earthquake in 2050. So it decides to build a Toyko 2, but not in Japan. Every country in the world enters the race to win the Toyko 2 bid, which will be worth £1,0000bn to the winner, The UK's bid is headed by former Blue Peter star and sex addict John Leslie, supported by Sky presenter and good friend Rhodri Williams. The Tokyo 2 bid team arrive at Heathrow Airport hoping to be met by John Leslie and Rhodri Williams. However, the intrepid duo are still partying hard in a West End nightclub... although the cleaners are threatening to call the cops if they are not out in 10 mins (well it is 11am in the morning after all). John, dancing impressively with his shirt off in the middle of the empty dance floor, shouts across to Rhodri who is slumped over the bar. "Bloody hell Rhodri I just remembered we got that Tokyo 2 gig today.&

NEXT Tuesday on this blog Rhodri Morgan and Sir Terry Matthews (pictured above) in a one off golf match at the Celtic Manor, Newport, South Wales. BREAKFAST : Bowl of Cornflakes mixed with a quite few Branflakes with cold milk. The Walk to Walk. The River Taff was still pretty active after the rains of late. More dogs than you could shake a stick at where out and about. Of particular note was one woman out walking 4 rather dishevelled looking dogs. I took the pedestrian bridge over the River Taff and into the grounds of Cardiff Castle. Not my normal route to walk, but I was heading across town for the last ever board meeting of the Welsh Development Agency.... has it really come to this! On arrival I was asked by the agency's chief executive, the affable Gareth Hall, if I had seen any ducks on my walk in. The Lunchbox. 2 rich tea biscuits 4 ham and tomato sandwiches on granary bread. 1 raspberry flavoured yoghurt. 1 banana 1 apple. 1 small container of a cut up but still mentally

BREAKFAST : Awesome bowl of Cornflakes with semi-skimmed milk THE WALK to Work. Two ducks were just chilling out on the River Taff Trail... a small sausage dog trotted passed, but didn't even look at them.... I was expecting an incident. The River Taff was a little bit more relaxed today. A devastated looking turned inside out umbrella had some how come to rest half way up a tree. The umbrella had the Welsh flag emblazoned on it... not my cup of tea, but there you go. Lunchbox ... HAVE to report there isn't one today as I am going out for lunch with two Irish bankers.... to be sure to be sure! Random Thought. CHAIRMAN of the Wales Millennium Centre, Sir David Rowe-Beddoe (right above) and the centre's ticketing booth scene! To hear what happened click here Breakfast: Three weetabix with hot milk, prepared in the microwave. The Walk to Work Wondrous this morning with a nice drying wind in play after three days of continuous rain. Down the River Taff Trail, and arguably Wales' best known river, the Taff, was moving at a rapid speed. Quite a few cyclists whistled passed me. Again no wildlife to be seen. THE Lunchbox 2 bananas (kids sized ones) 1 apple 4 salmon sandwiches (smoked variety) with a hint of lemon juice 1 cranberry and raspberry Muller Light yoghurt 2 chocolate digestive biscuits. 1 small container of a cut up plum and a sliced kiwi fruit... great combination this one This is Cape Treorchy, what is your status... over. Bananas went very early at 10.3oam, followed by the biscuits. Sandwiches were eaten by 11.30am. I then had the yoghurt and the container of fruit... k

HERE'S Looking at you kid. Breakfast: Bowl of branflakes with semi-skimmed milk The WALK TO WORK Raining steadily as I ventured outside for the walk to work. The River Taff was showing an impressive speed, following the weekend of torrential rainfall, as I headed down the Taff Trail. Dogs were no where to be seen and no squirrels or ducks either... a wildlife wilderness (well at least to my limited eye sight). Lunchbox 2 chocolate digestives 4 ham and tomato sandwiches on granary bread. 1 banana 1 apple 1 container of a cut up plum and kiwi friut. On the Tee, from Addis, the lunchbox. I DROVE off with the digestive biscuits at 11am (nice shot) and then played the container of fruit into the centre of fairway at 11.30am. Played a little pitch and run with the banana just before midday. On the green I took the sandwiches at midday and just missed the hole on the right. Tapped in to par the hole with the yoghurt a few minutes later... leaving the apple until later. Random Thought

BREAKFAST : A bowl of Branflakes (perhaps too many) with semi-skimmed milk. The Walk to Work Little bit of drizzle in the air as I set off at a brisk pace towards Pontcanna Fields and the good old Taff Trail, which meanders into the centre of Cardiff following the course of the River Taff. Quite a few joggers and cyclists were out in force this morning. Several contented ducks were to be seen on the river below. Just before the end of trail and under Canton Bridge the two regal swans, I saw earlier in the week were grooming their feathers, quite a sight to behold. The Lunchbox 2 rich tea biscuits 4 salmon sandwiches (tinned variety) on granary bread with a hint of lemon juice... well it would be rude not to. 1 Toffee flavoured Muller Light yoghurt. 1 banana 1 apple. CAN'T YOU READ WE ARE CLOSED! Had to be the banana at 11am, quickly followed by the biscuits. Then had the sandwiches, followed by the apple and yoghurt. HERE is my great grandfather (circa 1870) showing off the world's first ever plastic lunchbox. Walk to Work . Oh dear! There wasn't one, as I drove to work this morning. This is not related, but last night I got seriously lost driving through the myriad of country lanes around the village of Trumpton where my in-laws reside (Hello to Lady Plugs and to Timbo the "duff budgie " Walton. Lunchbox... more bad news here I am afraid . Out for lunch today to a fancy restaurant in Cardiff with two amusing lobbyists (Mr Bennett and Mr Davies) Random Thought . Best place for striking up a conversation with a complete stranger? IT has to be in the back of a cab and with a taxi driver . Taxi drivers just love chatting ... I have a few stock questions which include: Busy tonight mate? Are the students back yet? What time did you come out.. when are you finishing? Is this your own cab? Has anyone famous been in your cab? (Les Dennis doesn't count) Do you work Christmas D

THE DREAM TEAM A RED squirrel (whose name is Rufus ) and my dear old lunchbox. They had a great time last night chatting about the environment, my blog and their favourite table tennis players of all time. Breakfast: Three Weetabix with cold milk and two pieces of sliced toasted white bread with olivo spread and blackcurrant jam. The Walk to Work. Again quite cold this morning. The two regal swans I see occasionally on the River Taff were back with a bang this morning. However, they were some 50 metres apart, when usually they are side by side. Perhaps they had had a bust-up , or decided they just needed some time apart. However, the ducks were having a great time. The white husky dog (immaculately groomed) which I see often on the other side of the River Taff, passed me with his owner. The Lunchbox ... made my own today as Mrs B had a breakfast meeting. 2 chocolate digestive biscuits 4 ham and tomato sandwiches on granary bread 1 toffee flavoured yoghurt 1 banana 1 apple 1 sma

Sir Terry Matthews gives an insight into the latest developments in bleeding cut your finger edge Voice over Lunchbox (VOLB) technology. BREAKFAST: Marvellous bowl of Branflakes with semi-skimmed milk The Walk to Work. Quite cold, but it was a very good walk this morning as I meandered off towards Pontcanna Fields. With my i-Pod on full blast I was initially oblivious to a truck approaching from behind. Had to vacate the walkway to let it pass only seconds before realising it was behind me. Had quite a few looks from the driver and his mate. Quite a few ducks were on the River Taff below and a great looking sheep dog was entranced by a bunch of daffodils on the other side of the River Taff in the grounds of Cardiff Castle. Came across my work colleague Aled Blake ( the voice of Sian Lloyd on this blog's Weather Sketch two weeks ago ) on the road into the centre of Cardiff. We opted to walk along the riverway walk which runs alongside the Millennium Stadium. Quite a few tough looking Gulls were perched on the rail which runs down the walk's entire length. HERE is that crazy lunchbox of mine again, next to a wolf carved from a tree... They have been pen friends for years, but finally met up last week... it was very emotional I can tell you! Breakfast : Bowl of Cornflakes with semi-skimmed milk The Walk to Work . Snowflakes in the air as I set off this morning. Down the River Taff Trail and a pair of swans were effortlessly making their way up stream... good for them. A very active Sheepdog was on the other side of the river. Rubbish levels on the bank leading down to the River Taff are still appalling. The lunchbox 2 rich Tea biscuits 4 ham sandwiches (we have run out of cherry tomatoes) on granary bread 1 apple 1 banana 1 container of chopped up plum and grapes 1 Cherry flavoured Muller Light Yoghurt... a constant loyal lunch time companion Not there! Look over here! Biscuits were gone by 11am. I then went fruit crazy, before seeing off the sandwiches just before midday. The yoghurt was then consumed... leaving the apple until l

Good pace to my walking stride this morning as I entered Pontcanna Fields and down the RiverTaff Trail which takes me into the centre of Cardiff. A Lurcher dog decided to take a dip in the River Taff. His owner, a disabled woman, smiled as she passed me in her motorised vehicle. Ducks were out in force again, but alas no squirrels. THE WALK to Work Tale/Tail of two terrier dogs this morning on the River Taff Trail. One was running with a stick in its mouth, which if proportioned to a human would be around the size of a cricket bat. Two minutes later and another ( but not as well groomed as the previous) had a tennis ball in its mouth. His owner gave out one of the loudest belches I have heard for a long-time as I passed him.... good for him! River Taff was extremely calm and was being out paced by a very neat looking mechanical digger which was moving at a snail's pace on the path on the other side of the river. The Lunchbox: Small container of anchovies with capers in olive oil. 1 apple 1 banana 1 small container of green grapes, pieces of plum and thinly sliced kiwi fruit 2 ham and tomato sandwiches on granary bread 2 sausage sandwiches on granary bread.... the sausages were left over from Mrs B's marvellous bangers & mash last night. 1 raspberry and cranberry flavoured Muller Light Yoghurt. Here is a squirrel making his way to ground on the River Taff Trail... great balance these creatures have. The shadow on the trunk is me. Breakfast: Bowl of Cornflakes with semi-skimmed milk. The Walk to Work. Rather chilly this morning as I set off towards the River Taff Trail. Most of the action was across the river in the immaculately kept grounds of Cardiff Castle. The extremely well groomed white Husky dog I see occasionally was having an eventful time trying to placate a small but tenacious terrier dog, which was snapping at its heels and generally jumping around him like crazy. He seemed to be taking it all in good heart as his owner chatted away to the owner of the terrier. Minutes later, and after the departure of the terrier, a sheep dog, also out with his owner, raced towards him. Barking could be heard from both dogs as they charged towards each other... but when they came nose to nose it was all amicable stuff. As I crossed Canton Bridge, which leads into the centr

The ducks on the River Taff, with a seagull coming into land. Breakfast: Branflakes this morning with semi-skimmed milk. The Walk to Work Quite spring like this morning, after the howling chilling wind of last night.... the centre of Cardiff is like a wind tunnel at times. It was through Pontcanna Fields and down the legendary River Taff Trail.... it was a morning for small dogs with two terriers running ahead of its pretty laid back owner. More ducks than you could shake a stick at on the River Taff this morning, although again no squirrels to be seen in the trees. The Lunchbox. Lovely piece of plum crostata.... which was brought all the way from the Italian village of Casperia by my Aunty Maureen 4 ham and tomato sandwiches 1 cherry Muller Light yoghurt 1 apple 1 banana small container of grapes and sliced kiwi fruit and a cut up plum From the top 1-2-3-4! HERE I am taking it is easy sitting in the "tree seat" in the grounds of Cardiff Castle. I took the lunchbox along as well, as I don't believe sitting in a cupboard all weekend is healthy for any lunchbox... they need to get out and experience new things. However, I was disappointed to learn yesterday that makers of my lunchbox, Addis, are making 50 people redundant at its factory in Swansea. The Walk to Work. Mildest it has been for a while... didn't even need a coat this morning. At a quicker than usual speed I was in Pontcanna Fields from my home in under 10 mins... Struck me how green this land of ours is... Down the Taff Trail and the river was moving a bit more than yesterday... would describe its pace as military medium. Came across a few squirrels today... good to see them out and about again. A jogger passed me... a tiny looking women, aged say about 25. It wasn't the most natural of looking running styles, but each to their own. Over Canton Bridg

Through Pontcanna Fields and down the River Taff Trail. There were quite a few dogs out and about this morning with their owners. Even though I was sporting my i-Pod I was aware of a rumbling noise behind. I turned around and approaching was a young chap on a skateboard... it was great to see an alternative mode of Taff Trail transport which is so robotically dominated by the cycling brigade. Ducks were in their element this morning and saw two taking to the air... a sight to behold. The

Breakfast: Bowl of cornflakes with semi-skimmed milk. The Walk to Work : Good to see some rain this morning. Took off with my umbrella and it was down the River Taff Trail. The immaculate white Husky dog I see often was out walking on the other side of the river in the grounds of Cardiff Castle. Two duck were on the path in front on me. Two yards before I reached them they quacked and took to the air... a fantastic sight indeed. No squirrels today, not sure they are too fond of rain. MY favourite tree on this marvellous planet is some 100 yards away from the Millennium Stadium in the centre of Cardiff The tree , pictured above, is a fantastic U-shaped one... Although you cannot see it in its entirety in this image, you can make out the lunchbox just chilling out. Breakfast : Bowl of cornflakes with semi-skimmed milk. Walk to Work: It had to be the scenic route through Pontcanna Fields and then down the Taff Trail. The River Taff below was motionless this morning and was only disturbed when on the other bank a great looking Golden Retriever decided to dive into the waters to chase a stick thrown by his owner. Further down stream and a number of ducks were taking it easy on the river. No squirrels were around this morning. Walk to Work. It was snowing this morning, with the streets covered in a blanket of white. Took the scenic route through Pontcanna Fields and along the River Taff Trail.... Just a handful of ducks were on the River Taff below. It was great to see the home of Glamorgan Cricket Club, Sophia Gardens, covered in snow. The lunchbox. 2 rich tea biscuits 4 salmon sandwiches (tinned variety) with a hint of lemon juice on granary bread 1 banana 1 apple 1 strawberry flavoured Muller Light yoghurt. 1 small container of sliced kiwi friut, strawberries and green grapes. Tell us all about it? Biscuits were eaten just after 11am. I then opted for the banana. Sandwiches were gone by midday, followed by the friut... breaking with tradition I had the yoghurt last.
