WORLD EXCLUSIVE.>>>> Date: Lunchtime. Pictured above Terry and a Lunchbox Networks 12-1pm session controller.
Telecommunications billionaire Sir Terry Matthews has announced a $110m (Canadian bus fare ) move into the emerging Voice Over Lunchbox (VOLB) sector, with his new business Lunchbox Networks.
Lunchbox Networks has been positioned to catch the latest “spread” in bleeding cut your finger edge lunchtime technology by creating a seamless global VOLB network.
The company’s technology has scalability, interoperability - and a few other geeky words nobody really understands - and oh yes, any Disney character of your choice.
Lunchbox Networks will provide the first carrier to school class VOLB converged network compatible with both sushi and traditional sandwich boxes for tier one detention class vendors.
LunchBox Networks, which is headquartered in spotlessly clean canteens in Ontario and Chepstow (South Wales, UK) will next week announce its first carrier to school trials with Osaka High School, Japan and Hard Knocks Comprehensive in Newbridge (South Wales, UK).
Sir Terry said, “VOLB is the next big spread in lunchbox networking It is going to revolutionise the eating of lunch on this honking big planet. Anybody who thinks lunchboxes are for sissies, better watch out!
“There are now 700 million lunchboxes in China. I know this because last week I personally counted them."
Lunchbox Networks has a world class sandwich making management team with more than 50,000 sandwiches made between them, of which only 2 were not eaten [Simon Gibson made and ate all of his circa 25,000].
Sir Terry added, “VOLB is the most disruptive first mover advantage technology I have seen since breakfast. Talking of which I didn’t have any, so if you don’t mind I am ending this VOLB conference call to have a nice early lunch.”
Breakfast: Cornflakes and porridge oats with semi-skimmed milk
Walk to Work.
Great morning today. Took off and headed towards Pontcanna Fields. A golden Labrador decided to take a dip in the River Taff as I walked along the Taff Trail... it was loving it.
I had a eye test at 9am in the centre of Cardiff, so I ventured across the pedestrian bridge which takes you into the grounds of Cardiff Castle, where I passed the immaculately groomed white Husky I often see on the other side of the river.
Through the Castle Grounds, which really are top draw, I passed the circle of enlightened tupperware stones, where my new lunch was delivered upon high by the tupperware Gods. See blog entry Jan 30th
By the way my eyes were just fine, although I did walk into the wrong opticians to begin with.
The Lunchbox
2 Rich Tea Biscuits
4 ham and tomato sandwiches on granary bread
1 banana
1 apple
1 container of thinly sliced kiwi fruit (never tire of it) and green grapes
1 Cherry flavoured Muller Light yoghurt.
Stand up straight and put your shoulders back
Banana went at 11.25am. quickly followed by the container of fruit. I then ploughed into the sandwiches at midday, followed by the yoghurt and the biscuits... predictably I am saving the apple for later
