March 23rd lunchbox

HERE is my great grandfather (circa 1870) showing off the world's first ever plastic lunchbox.

Walk to Work.
Oh dear! There wasn't one, as I drove to work this morning. This is not related, but last night I got seriously lost driving through the myriad of country lanes around the village of Trumpton where my in-laws reside (Hello to Lady Plugs and to Timbo the "duff budgie" Walton.

Lunchbox... more bad news here I am afraid.

Out for lunch today to a fancy restaurant in Cardiff with two amusing lobbyists (Mr Bennett and Mr Davies)

Random Thought.
Best place for striking up a conversation with a complete stranger?
IT has to be in the back of a cab and with a taxi driver.

Taxi drivers just love chatting... I have a few stock questions which include:

Busy tonight mate?
Are the students back yet?
What time did you come out.. when are you finishing?
Is this your own cab?
Has anyone famous been in your cab? (Les Dennis doesn't count)
Do you work Christmas Day?
What's the furthest trip you have made... did you get the fare up front?
How long have you been a taxi driver?

2011: National Service (two years in the Armed Services) is reintroduced in the UK for all those calling for its reintroduction.
