March 6th, lunchbox

MY favourite tree on this marvellous planet is some 100 yards away from the Millennium Stadium in the centre of Cardiff

The tree, pictured above, is a fantastic U-shaped one... Although you cannot see it in its entirety in this image, you can make out the lunchbox just chilling out.

Breakfast: Bowl of cornflakes with semi-skimmed milk.

Walk to Work: It had to be the scenic route through Pontcanna Fields and then down the Taff Trail. The River Taff below was motionless this morning and was only disturbed when on the other bank a great looking Golden Retriever decided to dive into the waters to chase a stick thrown by his owner.

Further down stream and a number of ducks were taking it easy on the river. No squirrels were around this morning.

The Lunchbox

2 Rich tea biscuits
4 ham and tomato sandwiches on granary bread.
1 banana
1 apple
1 Toffee flavoured Muller Light Yoghurt
1 small container of sliced kiwi fruit and grapes ( red and green) and mango!

For heaven's sake man tell us what happened!

The biscuits were the first into the arena at 11am. I then had the banana, which was particularly good. The sandwiches were sent packing by midday, quickly followed by the yoghurt - no spillages - and the remaining fruit, where the mango excelled.

Random Thought.
2011: Polish businessman Jarel Polanski (pictured left) wins the inaugural Siberia to the Iberian Peninsula Spacehopper Race... he completes the epic journey in 27 days 6 hours and 31 seconds.
