June 1st lunchbox

BREAKFAST: Bowl of Branflakes and 2 Weetabix (only the dregs of the Branflakes were left in the box) with semi-skimmed cold milk.

The Walk to Work

Sun was out in force again today as I headed down the Taff Trail. On the other side of the river in the splendid grounds of Cardiff Castle I saw the immaculately groomed White Husky Dog out with his owner.
Quite a few cyclists whistled passed me. Over Canton Bridge, which leads into the centre of Cardiff, and the two Regal Swans, which I haven't seen for a while, were seemingly sleeping
some 10 feet apart in the shallow waters.

LUNCHBOX

4 salmon sandwiches (tinned variety) with a hint of lemon juice on granary bread
2 chocolate digestive biscuits
1 banana
1 plum
1 Muller Light Vanilla flavoured yoghurt... I never tire of them

Tell you what I cannot decide so let's toss a coin... heads I'm cremated, tails I'm buried.

Biscuits were the first to go, then all the fruit (and why not!), then had the sandwiches just before the midday with a yoghurt finale!

RANDOM THOUGHT

2040: Declassified Pentagon documents reveal that Welsh singers Tom Jones and Shirley Bassey both served in the Vietnam War as part of a US helicopter unit (pictured in action above).
They were both signed to US record labels at the time in the summer of 1970 and the deal was
they would get a 20% hike in record sale royalties for serving four months... under the aliases of privates Thomas Junior III and Orville Orlington.

Why don't Tom and Shirley get together for a special lunchbox podcast to remember their lunches in their lunches during those dark days fighting the Viet Cong? They could even come up with a special song in memory of their fallen comrades.

Congratulations, young man. You know the truth. Meet me at the Cafe Figaro in Monaco tomorrow and I'll tell you the full story. It involves Mr T.
