BREAKFAST: Bowl of Branflakes with semi-skimmed milk... bravo!

Walk to Work

Drizzle in the air as I left my humble abode and headed towards the Taff Trail, which is around a five minute walk away.
Approaching Cathedral Road _ the best tree lined road in Cardiff _ a driver was waving frantically at me.
I couldn't make her out until she had passed, but it was Moira the wife of Wales's greatest living civil servant, Gareth Hall.
So Moira I wasn't ignoring you, but I only realised it was you after you had passed.
Pretty uneventful on the trail itself... apart from a chap in his running kit pushing a baby in a pram.


Lunchbox
1 container of raspberries
1 banana
2 digestive biscuits
4 ham and salad sandwiches on granary brea.
1 nectarine
1 raspberry and cranberry flavoured Muller Light Yoghurt

I have never heard a sister-in-law joke

Food was all gone my midday

Pictured are Betty and John Mills from Warrington, England, at Hotel La Booza in Spain.
They are leaving for home tomorrow after a two week all inclusive break.
Five minutes earlier they were at the hotel's reception seeking clarification on breakfast for the morning.

John: Excuse me love. We are leaving tomorrow with the coach picking us up at 6.30am for the airport, but the thing is like breakfast doesn't start until 7am

Receptionist: Si si... it okay we do special breakfast for you at 5.30am.

John: Bloodly marvellous and if you are ever in Warrington the drinks are on us!

BREAKFAST: Was in the gym at 6.44am this morning.... first time in a month. Returned to have a swell bowl of Cornflakes with semi-skimmed milk. THE WALK to WORK THE rain and wind tested by umbrella handing skills to the limit this morning. Down the Taff Trail and the home of Glamorgan County Cricket Club, Sophia Gardens, was looking particularly sad this morning. A cyclist waved as she passed me on the trail, turned out to be work colleague Anna Morrell . She later explained how she dreads passing pedestrians on the trail sporting i-Pods... good to get a cyclist perspective for a change! A podcast on the Welsh Forgetter of the Year. TO HEAR THE BARDS in ACTION CLICK HERE, DIOLCH! BREAKFAST: Very good bowl of Branflakes THE WALK to WORK. SUN was radiating as I ambled down what was a POSTCARDESQUE River Taff Trail this morning. Was i-Podless so had the full symphony of bird song, interspersed with the chimes of the Clock Tower of Cardiff Castle. THE LUNCHBOX 4 salmon sandwiches(tinned variety)with a hint of lemon juice. 1 plum 1 banana 1 Toffee flavoured Muller Light Yoghurt. 2 Chocolate digestive biscuits. TRUST ME MY WIFE IS A MAGISTRATE. Biscuits went early, followed by the fruit then the sandwiches just before midday. Saving the yoghurt until later RANDOM THOUGHT 2021: THE opening of the first TESCO UNIVERSITY, where students are schooled in Tescology, is delayed after members of the ANTI-TESCO league chain themselves to supermarket trollies in the offices of the Vice-Chancellor, located at the end of the Frozen Food aisle of the new campus

BREAKFAST: Marvellous bowl of Cornflakes with cold semi-skimmed milk. The Walk to Work. Sun was really trying to break through (fair play), but even with clear blue skies there was the odd drop of rain... well that's the UK for you! Down the Taff Trial into the centre of Cardiff and it was cyclist mania this morning. And at last more on the wildlife front, noted two fierce looking ravens foraging for food on the river bank, as well as quite a few chilled out ducks on the River Taff below. The immaculate groomed white Husky passed me with his owner. LUNCHBOX... 1 banana 1 plum 4 chicken sandwiches on granary bread 1 toffee flavoured Muller Light Yoghurt 1 slice of coconut cake made by Plugs of Trumpton. THIS oven could do with a good clean! Went for the cake first (and why not!), followed by the banana and then the plum. Sandwiches were rapidly demolished just before midday. Yoghurt will go shortly.
