TODAY's LUNCH BOX

The contents of my lunch box were simply magnificent today.

Mrs Barry again weaved her magic in the kitchen with the box brimming to the top _ it was quite a job this morning to fasten down the plastic blue lid.

My walk to work _ distance circa two miles _ was an enjoyable affair. The early morning frost was still on the ground with hardly a soul in sight _ just one jogger.

Feeling adventurous and with the lunch box safely inside my black shoulder bag,
I took my favourite route via Cathedral Road and then across the frost covered Pontcanna Fields _ reaching the riverside path which takes you into the centre of Cardiff.
Several ducks were in view on the other bank of the River Taff. However in the trees that heavily populate my route through the park, I didn't see any squirrels _ usually there are masses of the bold creatures. Perhaps it was too cold for them to venture out this morning.

It was then down Westgate Street which leads to my place of work _ Thomson House _ in Havelock St.

Contents of today's lunch box.

Four ham sandwiches made with brown bread _ consumed at my desk by midday.

Two miniature dairy milk chocolates _ gave one away to my colleague David Williamson _ I thought that was a nice touch!

The two chocolate digestive biscuits fell in battle very early _ about 11am.

The toffee flavoured Muller Light was devoured after the sandwiches. Very proud today that there was no spillage over my blue shirt.

Banana, apple and satsuma will all consumed through the afternoon.

Random Thought.

If you don't press the pedestrian crossing button at a set of traffic lights will the lights remain green? Not sure on this one.
