Wednesday 18th of January Lunchbox

Was up seriously early this morning _ 6.30am.

Had a breakfast appointment with the Archbishop of Cardiff, who is a big fan of the TV comedy Father Ted.

Mrs B insisted on getting up too and preparing the Lunchbox _ no change on its crack, but I am considering buying a new one. Looked at a number of Lunchbox retirement home brochures last night.

I did walk to work, then drove off to Cardiff Bay for breakfast with the Archbishop _ who smokes like a chimney.

The route today was not scenic.... it was down Cowbridge Road East... no squirrels or ducks to be seen... just a lot of fed up looking people in cars and buses.

2 Rich Tea Biscuits
4 ham sandwiches on granary bread.
1 Muller Light vanilla flavoured yoghurt.
Small container of nicely cut pieces of strawberries and kiwi fruit _ great combination.
Apple, banana and the loyal organic apple.


What happened.

I was still hungry, despite having 47% of my breakfast.

Rich Tea were a nice change of pace... followed quickly the banana.

Just before midday went the sandwiches, yoghurt too, and another fruit frenzy.

Random Thoughts: Wales should adopt a new name. I think it should be renamed, Little China _ could move our GDP upwards overnight.

Cannot really see ball boys (or girls) working for table tennis.

BABY is Coming: Bumpy is still kicking like mad... cannot wait until the birth on May 6th.

BREAKFAST: Was in the gym at 6.44am this morning.... first time in a month. Returned to have a swell bowl of Cornflakes with semi-skimmed milk. THE WALK to WORK THE rain and wind tested by umbrella handing skills to the limit this morning. Down the Taff Trail and the home of Glamorgan County Cricket Club, Sophia Gardens, was looking particularly sad this morning. May 31st lunchbox

A podcast on the Welsh Forgetter of the Year. TO HEAR THE BARDS in ACTION CLICK HERE, DIOLCH! BREAKFAST: Very good bowl of Branflakes THE WALK to WORK. SUN was radiating as I ambled down what was a POSTCARDESQUE River Taff Trail this morning. Was i-Podless so had the full symphony of bird song, interspersed with the chimes of the Clock Tower of Cardiff Castle. THE LUNCHBOX 4 salmon sandwiches(tinned variety)with a hint of lemon juice. 1 plum 1 banana 1 Toffee flavoured Muller Light Yoghurt. 2 Chocolate digestive biscuits. TRUST ME MY WIFE IS A MAGISTRATE. Biscuits went early, followed by the fruit then the sandwiches just before midday. Saving the yoghurt until later RANDOM THOUGHT 2021: THE opening of the first TESCO UNIVERSITY, where students are schooled in Tescology, is delayed after members of the ANTI-TESCO league chain themselves to supermarket trollies in the offices of the Vice-Chancellor, located at the end of the Frozen Food aisle of the new campus

May 23rd lunchbox

BREAKFAST: Marvellous bowl of Cornflakes with cold semi-skimmed milk. The Walk to Work. Sun was really trying to break through (fair play), but even with clear blue skies there was the odd drop of rain... well that's the UK for you! Down the Taff Trial into the centre of Cardiff and it was cyclist mania this morning. And at last more on the wildlife front, noted two fierce looking ravens foraging for food on the river bank, as well as quite a few chilled out ducks on the River Taff below. The immaculate groomed white Husky passed me with his owner. LUNCHBOX... 1 banana 1 plum 4 chicken sandwiches on granary bread 1 toffee flavoured Muller Light Yoghurt 1 slice of coconut cake made by Plugs of Trumpton. THIS oven could do with a good clean! Went for the cake first (and why not!), followed by the banana and then the plum. Sandwiches were rapidly demolished just before midday. Yoghurt will go shortly.
