Feb 16th Lunchbox
Breakfast: Cornflakes with cold semi-skimmed milk, 2 pieces of toasted slice granary bread with blackcurrant jam and a a glass of water.
WALK to Work.
It was raining this morning on departure from my humble abode. Opted to take an umbrella with the rain enjoying taking centre stage... with encouragement from a freshening wind.
By the time I reach Pontcanna Fields the rain had ceased, so used the umbrella as a walking stick.
A huge seagull was surveying the scene perched on the railings which run along the length of the River Taff Trail. Up close they are fierce looking creatures. It waited until I was only a foot away before deciding to fly off to the other side of the Taff.
A squirrel I spied, boldly jumped head first into a green rubbish bin.... another was munching on something on a low lying branch on a riverside tree.
Lunchbox: Out to lunch today with some PR executives from London, but as I am having a few drinks after work it will be pressed into action.
Last night Mrs B made a delicious Shepherd's pie, based on a Delia Smith recipe.
She used lamb mince, with finely grated onions, swede and carrots. The mash potato for the top of the pie included a few leeks with a sprinkling of cheese, before being put in the oven... it was delicious.
Will heat it up later in a microwave... not sure we have one in the offce, but I will find one.
Random Thought: My favourite date on this planet is yet to come, it will be the 3/3/3333. If I was still alive I would be 1,367 years-old, and probably living in happy retirement far out beyond Jupiter on Earth 4.
There is a saying in sport that the "manager has lost the dressing room." But how can you lose a dressing room, they are rather large areas with showers, lockers, benches in etc, etc?
Job swap: The Leaning Tower of Pisa and Donald Rumsfeld.
Baby is Coming: Bumpy is kicking like crazy.. which is brilliant.
