Feb 20th lunchbox

Breakfast: 3 weetabix with cold semi-skimmed milk (okay Dan) and a glass of water.... the high life indeed!

The Walk to Work: The wind was howling this morning with leaves spiralling upwards in eye-catching rhythmic cycles. Took the scenic route through Pontcanna Fields where upon entering through a narrow gate I nearly stepped on a small terrier dog who was out walking with its owner.
Along the River Taff trial and the river was far calmer than last week. There was a screeching of brakes just ahead as three cyclists came to a shuddering tyre to tyre halt, as the one in front had to take action after failing to thread his way successfully through a maze of pedestrians.
The British Bulldog I see regularly was back to his old slow pace mode this morning... there is a correlation with the weather and his movements, as when it is warmer he is far more active. But in the height of summer I guess he will stay indoors.

The Lunchbox. It was simply superb ths morning... last night Mrs B cooked a chicken (which we bought from the Farmers' Market in Cardiff), with stuffing, carrots, roast potatoes, leeks and cabbage... also all bought from the market.

2 chocolate digestive biscuits
4 chicken with Mrs B magical stuffing sandwiches on granary bread
1 cranberry and raspberry Muller Light yoghurt
1 apple
1 banana.
1 container of kiwi fruit, grapes and strawberries.

How it went : Of course it had to be the chocolate digestives at 11am, followed by the banana. The sandwiches were eaten with great gusto at midday, followed by the yoghurt and the fruit.

Random Thought:
Occasionally when walking towards somebody in the street you will end up almost walking into each other.
This is usually a case of a left handed person trying to get past a right handed one.
If two right handed people approach each other on a narrow street, their instincts are to move to their right. And as they are opposite the result is that they both manage to avoid each other. However, if you are left handed and a right handed person approaches you will move to your left and the other person to their right, so you end up nearly colliding.

Today's Job Swap: A Swiss cuckoo clock and chairman of the Welsh Rugby Union David Pickering.

2190: Darts is finally recognised as an Olympic sport with the men's team gold going to India.

BABY is coming: Myself and Mrs B managed to assemble a chest of draws last night with a baby changing facility on top. It took about 2 hours, but we finally managed to put it together successfully.... terrific job!
