Feb 21st Lunchbox
Breakfast: 2 Weetabix with cold semi-skimmed milk with a sprinkling of Cornflakes _ a nice combination.
The Walk to Work:
Still pretty chilly this morning I as meandered through Pontcanna Fields and down the River Taff Trail. Two early joggers passed carrying i-Pods, although one was holding her's a little more awkwardly than her male running partner.
A few ducks were on display below on the river and across the other bank in the grounds of Cardiff Castle was the immaculately groomed white Husky dog and its proud owner who occasionally pass me on my side of the river.
Over Canton Bridge. which leads into the centre of Cardiff, and below were two professional looking rowers making their way down stream at an impressive speed in their sleek boat. They even had the Welsh flag emblazoned on the paddles of their oars.
The Lunchbox:
2 chocolate digestive biscuits
4 ham sandwiches on granary bread.
1 banana.
1 Raspberry flavoured Muller Light yoghurt
1 apple.
1 container of finely sliced kiwi fruit and strawberries with red grapes.
What happened old chat?
The biscuits opened the show at 11am, followed by the banana, which I think came from Costa Rica, hot on its heels at 11.20am. The sandwiches were all gone by 12.15. I then had the yoghurt, followed by the excellent container of mixed fruit... the apple was the last over the finishing line.
Random Thought:
2291: First robot MP takes up its seat in Parliament.
2020 Tony Blair and David Cameron open their first plate spinning school venture at Rio de la Plata, Argentina.... the new school is their 100th globally.
It is time to merge the Welsh cities of Cardiff and Newport, not bothered if it is called Carport or Newiff, or perhaps something complete new like Beijing 2.
When I was a kid I always wanted to attend the Highland Games in Scotland. Never did, but not sure I am too bothered now.
Today's job swap: Welsh National Opera and a reformed Republican guard in Iraq.
