Feb 27th lunchbox
Here I am pondering another Random Thought (see today's below).
Breakfast: Bowl of Cornflakes with cold semi-skimmed milk. Two pieces of toasted sliced granary bread, with olivio spread and blackcurrant jam.
The Walk to Work.
Pretty mild this morning after the chill of the last week. Have to report that rubbish levels were appalling as I walked along the Taff Trail ... cans, bottles, cartons, etc etc, were discarded on both sides, especially on the embankment leading down to the River Taff.
On the other river bank is a funky looking tree trunk in which has been engraved a man's face with flowing locks and a long beard... it look like a wizard to me. An interesting seat has also been carved into it, so if a passerby fancies taking a break they can sit down and watch the wildlife on the river below.
Next time I am on that side of the River Taff I will try it out.
First daffodils have bloomed in Pontcanna Fields, but only three have come through.
A few squirrels were out and about... one was inspecting a discarded food carton.
The Lunchbox
2 Rich tea biscuits.
4 smoked salmon sandwiches on granary bread with a hint of obligatory lemon juice.
1 Toffee flavoured Muller Light yoghurt
1 Raeburn apple
1 small container of sliced kiwi fruit and strawberries with red grapes.
Take your time and in your own words!
Biscuits were gone by 11am. I then went for the banana at 11.30am. Sandwiches were a great start to the week and were eaten just after midday. Then had the yoghurt and the remaining fruit.
Random Thought
2322: The Earth is sold to a consortium consisting mainly of extra-terrestrials for 120 zillion yen, which by then will be the planet's only currency.
The Earth's Government in return agrees to pay an annual rent to the consortium, which is headed by a human who also happens to be a direct descendent of mining trade union leader Arthur Scargill.
The rent is not in yens, but in exchange for the Earth's commercial rights on plate spinning, which is the no 1 past time on 1,000 inhabited planets in the universe, generating an annual income of 12 zillion yen.
Today's Swap: The Rio Carnival and the Horse of the Year Show from Olympia.
