May 17th lunchbox

BREAKFAST: Rather good bowl of Cornflakes with cold semi-skimmed milk. Also made breakfast in bed for my wife Petra... who was sleeping with our 2 week ago baby Isabella.

At 7.30am I decided to make a rhubarb crumble..... not too bad as it turned out. The rhubarb was provided from the allotment of Timbo of the village of Trumpton

The Walk to Work:

Down the legendary Taff Trail with leads into the centre of Cardiff in Wales. All quiet on the River Taff below, with just a few ducks making an appearance.

Two young women then passed me on their bikes... they were going nine to the dozen speaking in German _ and why not.

The Lunchbox.

1 plum
1 banana
4 salmon sandwiches (tinned variety) with a hint of lemon juice.. oh yes!
2 Rich Tea biscuits.
1 apple

I was going to bake a cake this afternoon, but we only had a bloody power cut for four hours!

Biscuits went first, followed by all the fruit, had the sandwiches just before midday.

Random Thought

Today's swop: Iran and Iraq, but with a break clause after 3 weeks.

2050: Biggest grossing film of the year is the Table Tennis Kid, a silent movie about a boy from Taiwan who travels to mainland China where he befriends a Panda Bear… it’s a real tear jerker.

Next week on this very silly blog, podcast about First Minister for Wales Rhodri Morgan being hypnotised
