BREAKFAST: Totally awesome bowl of Cornflakes with semi-skimmed milk.


WALK to WORK: Wind was howling this morning as I set off for work. Torrential rain last night... I know this because I got drenched in it.

Down the River Taff Trail which follows what was a very strong flowing River Taff this morning into the centre of Cardiff.
Enjoyed having to dodge branches of overhanging trees, which were happily being blown inside out.
Not seen a Squirrel all week, but a few ducks were on te river below

Not heard this for quite a while: Has anyone got change of 10p?



Lunchbox:

4 sausage sandwiches... the remains of bangers of mash made by my father-in-law last night... the truly sensational Timbo of the village of Trumpton.
1 apple
1 banana
2 Rich tea biscuits
1 Toffee flavoured Muller Light Yoghurt

WHAT Happened to the food old chap?

Rich tea biscuits went first, then all the fruit, then the sandwiches and the yoghurt last.. Amen!

2099: THE average age of bowlers globally reaches a landmark 100... I think bowls is a fantastic game of skill and tactics.

BREAKFAST: Was in the gym at 6.44am this morning.... first time in a month. Returned to have a swell bowl of Cornflakes with semi-skimmed milk. THE WALK to WORK THE rain and wind tested by umbrella handing skills to the limit this morning. Down the Taff Trail and the home of Glamorgan County Cricket Club, Sophia Gardens, was looking particularly sad this morning. A cyclist waved as she passed me on the trail, turned out to be work colleague Anna Morrell . She later explained how she dreads passing pedestrians on the trail sporting i-Pods... good to get a cyclist perspective for a change! A podcast on the Welsh Forgetter of the Year. TO HEAR THE BARDS in ACTION CLICK HERE, DIOLCH! BREAKFAST: Very good bowl of Branflakes THE WALK to WORK. SUN was radiating as I ambled down what was a POSTCARDESQUE River Taff Trail this morning. Was i-Podless so had the full symphony of bird song, interspersed with the chimes of the Clock Tower of Cardiff Castle. THE LUNCHBOX 4 salmon sandwiches(tinned variety)with a hint of lemon juice. 1 plum 1 banana 1 Toffee flavoured Muller Light Yoghurt. 2 Chocolate digestive biscuits. TRUST ME MY WIFE IS A MAGISTRATE. Biscuits went early, followed by the fruit then the sandwiches just before midday. Saving the yoghurt until later RANDOM THOUGHT 2021: THE opening of the first TESCO UNIVERSITY, where students are schooled in Tescology, is delayed after members of the ANTI-TESCO league chain themselves to supermarket trollies in the offices of the Vice-Chancellor, located at the end of the Frozen Food aisle of the new campus

BREAKFAST: Marvellous bowl of Cornflakes with cold semi-skimmed milk. The Walk to Work. Sun was really trying to break through (fair play), but even with clear blue skies there was the odd drop of rain... well that's the UK for you! Down the Taff Trial into the centre of Cardiff and it was cyclist mania this morning. And at last more on the wildlife front, noted two fierce looking ravens foraging for food on the river bank, as well as quite a few chilled out ducks on the River Taff below. The immaculate groomed white Husky passed me with his owner. LUNCHBOX... 1 banana 1 plum 4 chicken sandwiches on granary bread 1 toffee flavoured Muller Light Yoghurt 1 slice of coconut cake made by Plugs of Trumpton. THIS oven could do with a good clean! Went for the cake first (and why not!), followed by the banana and then the plum. Sandwiches were rapidly demolished just before midday. Yoghurt will go shortly.
