August 18 lunchbox



Oh dear rather hung over this morning after returning home at 1am. Was at the Cameo Club with Ian "the ego boy" Williams, Prof Dylan Jones-Evans and Tonteg's very finest Aled Blake.

We laughed all night, about silly things mostly. There was a good energy and flow to the proceedings. One for the road was mentioned quite a few times.... Mr C of Penarth departed at a far more civilised time, sporting a very impressive new hair cut!

Earlier a woman by the name of Jackie Meek who I had never seen before, explained she was a fan of this blog, something about it inspiring her family to blog. Not sure her husband Allan was such a bit fan though... and I can empathise there. I have a feeling they are both involved in the smoke detection business.


Breakfast:
Seriously important bowl of Weetabix with semi-skimmed organic milk.


Walk to Work:
Wasn't really up for it and it really didn't do anything to clear my head.

Lunchbox

2 chocolate digestive biscuits
4 ham and tomato sandwiches
some blueberries and grapes.
1 Rachel's organic yoghurt
1 nectarine
1 apple


Random Thought


Smoke detectors? We have two in our humble abode. One in the kitchen and the another on the landing ceiling.
Might be wrong, but not seen any domestic detectors in anything but the colour white.


Smoke detector all alone sitting on your noble throne
In your hands we place so much trust as you keep a watchful eye.
As for our "cash in hand" electrician... we should have noticed your disapproving sigh up high.
But you roused us from our slumber with sparks jumping high.
The insurance? We did have cover and the place now likes as good as new.
But as for you our loyal smoke detector, we hope you can forgive our foolish ways.
From now on its rewiring by the book.... that's enough!

BREAKFAST: Was in the gym at 6.44am this morning.... first time in a month. Returned to have a swell bowl of Cornflakes with semi-skimmed milk. THE WALK to WORK THE rain and wind tested by umbrella handing skills to the limit this morning. Down the Taff Trail and the home of Glamorgan County Cricket Club, Sophia Gardens, was looking particularly sad this morning. A podcast on the Welsh Forgetter of the Year. TO HEAR THE BARDS in ACTION CLICK HERE, DIOLCH! BREAKFAST: Very good bowl of Branflakes THE WALK to WORK. SUN was radiating as I ambled down what was a POSTCARDESQUE River Taff Trail this morning. Was i-Podless so had the full symphony of bird song, interspersed with the chimes of the Clock Tower of Cardiff Castle. THE LUNCHBOX 4 salmon sandwiches(tinned variety)with a hint of lemon juice. 1 plum 1 banana 1 Toffee flavoured Muller Light Yoghurt. 2 Chocolate digestive biscuits. TRUST ME MY WIFE IS A MAGISTRATE. Biscuits went early, followed by the fruit then the sandwiches just before midday. Saving the yoghurt until later RANDOM THOUGHT 2021: THE opening of the first TESCO UNIVERSITY, where students are schooled in Tescology, is delayed after members of the ANTI-TESCO league chain themselves to supermarket trollies in the offices of the Vice-Chancellor, located at the end of the Frozen Food aisle of the new campus
