August 15 lunchbox

Breakfast:
Matter of fact bowl of Weetabix with semi-skimmed organic milk
Walk to Work:

Rain on and off as I wandered down the Taff Trail for a change. The immaculately groomed white husky dog I spied through the trees across the River Taff in the grounds of Cardiff Castle.
The trail was pretty quiet on the mankind front, withjust the odd cyclist whistling pass me.


Lunchbox
2 organic smoked salmon sandwiches with a hint of lemon juice
2 ham and tomato sandwiches
1 apple
1 Rachel's dairy yoghurt
2 chocolate digestive biscuits
1 nectarine.

Random Thought


Fireman Taff starting out in the firefighting business back in 1901 in New York City no less.
Today he is 130 years old and living in the village of Tonteg.
He is the chap pictured first left in the front row. It's all a bit sketchy as to how he ended up here in Wales. However, what I do know [and strictly off the record] is that he came up with the idea to create the Welsh Consumer Council.

Mrs Fireman Taff must be leaking photos! As a punishment I've hidden the Coco Pops. I've also hidden the Aldi hot chocolate as we all know what she does on thee occasions. I don't like to be so Draconian, but it's the only way she'll learn.
Anyway,at least the story is accurate, which is the least I'd expect from the author.

Now, where's my crayons? I need to write to the Welsh Council.

BREAKFAST: Was in the gym at 6.44am this morning.... first time in a month. Returned to have a swell bowl of Cornflakes with semi-skimmed milk. THE WALK to WORK THE rain and wind tested by umbrella handing skills to the limit this morning. Down the Taff Trail and the home of Glamorgan County Cricket Club, Sophia Gardens, was looking particularly sad this morning. A cyclist waved as she passed me on the trail, turned out to be work colleague Anna Morrell . A podcast on the Welsh Forgetter of the Year. TO HEAR THE BARDS in ACTION CLICK HERE, DIOLCH! BREAKFAST: Very good bowl of Branflakes THE WALK to WORK. SUN was radiating as I ambled down what was a POSTCARDESQUE River Taff Trail this morning. Was i-Podless so had the full symphony of bird song, interspersed with the chimes of the Clock Tower of Cardiff Castle. THE LUNCHBOX 4 salmon sandwiches(tinned variety)with a hint of lemon juice. 1 plum 1 banana 1 Toffee flavoured Muller Light Yoghurt. 2 Chocolate digestive biscuits. TRUST ME MY WIFE IS A MAGISTRATE. Biscuits went early, followed by the fruit then the sandwiches just before midday. Saving the yoghurt until later RANDOM THOUGHT 2021: THE opening of the first TESCO UNIVERSITY, where students are schooled in Tescology, is delayed after members of the ANTI-TESCO league chain themselves to supermarket trollies in the offices of the Vice-Chancellor, located at the end of the Frozen Food aisle of the new campus

BREAKFAST: Marvellous bowl of Cornflakes with cold semi-skimmed milk. The Walk to Work. Sun was really trying to break through (fair play), but even with clear blue skies there was the odd drop of rain... well that's the UK for you! Down the Taff Trial into the centre of Cardiff and it was cyclist mania this morning. And at last more on the wildlife front, noted two fierce looking ravens foraging for food on the river bank, as well as quite a few chilled out ducks on the River Taff below. The immaculate groomed white Husky passed me with his owner. LUNCHBOX... 1 banana 1 plum 4 chicken sandwiches on granary bread 1 toffee flavoured Muller Light Yoghurt 1 slice of coconut cake made by Plugs of Trumpton. THIS oven could do with a good clean! Went for the cake first (and why not!), followed by the banana and then the plum. Sandwiches were rapidly demolished just before midday. Yoghurt will go shortly.
